Join Willmott Dixon as a Lead/Senior Quantity Surveyor and take ownership of the commercial delivery of an exciting new leisure project near Peterborough. With construction underway, this is your opportunity to play a key role in a high-profile project, bringing your commercial expertise, contractual knowledge and leadership skills to our established, high-performing London & East team.
The role
You’ll take the lead on commercial delivery from feasibility through to completion, ensuring costs are controlled, risks are managed and financial reporting is accurate. Working closely with project teams, clients and supply chain partners, you’ll build strong relationships and drive successful outcomes at every stage.
We’re looking for a commercially astute, confident and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership, solving challenges and supporting others to succeed.
What you’ll bring
- The ability to independently manage projects from preconstruction through to delivery.
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge, with the confidence to manage costs, mitigate risks and prevent scope creep.
- Experience in procurement, subcontractor management and supply chain relationships.
- A solid understanding of client invoicing, contract cost reporting and financial forecasting.
- Strong Cost/Value reporting and cost-to-complete analysis skills.
- Experience working with NEC and JCT contracts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam or similar measurement software.
- Confidence in a customer-facing role, alongside previous team leadership experience.
What would set you apart?
- A degree in Construction or a related discipline.
- Experience delivering projects within the leisure sector.
- Membership of, or working towards, MCIOB or RICS.
