Willmott Dixon has an exciting opportunity for a full time People Partner to join our Wales & West Region, supporting the delivery of people strategies that enable strong performance, engagement and capability across the business that directly enable high performance, operational excellence, and ambitious growth plans.

Based out of our Cardiff or Bristol office, you will work on a hybrid basis, splitting your time between the office, at home, and travelling to our regional offices or sites on occasion. Working closely with the Lead People Business Partner and the business leaders, this role plays a key part in translating people strategy into day‑to‑day impact. You will be a trusted partner to managers, helping embed consistent people practices, strengthen leadership capability, and create an environment where people can perform, grow and thrive.

The primary focus for this role is a strong operational remit across the employee lifecycle. You will role‑model pragmatic commercially focused people support, building credibility, trust and impact across the Wales & West region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with managers and leaders to deliver high quality, consistent people support aligned to business priorities.
  • Support and enhance our 5 key people experiences:
    • Attract – In partnership with the dedicated Recruitment Team, support recruitment activity and pre‑employment processes, helping deliver a positive and professional candidate experience.
    • Welcome – Ensure new starters are effectively onboarded and supported to become productive and connected quickly.
    • Perform – Coach and advise managers on employee attendance and wellbeing, objective setting, managing performance, effective feedback and confident people decision‑making.
    • Grow – Drive development plans, innovation, and learning activities to unlock potential and career pathways. Helping managers to create an environment where employees can develop, progress and be their best selves.
    • Goodbye – Support transitions and exits with empathy and professionalism, using insight to inform learning and improvement.
  • Deliver high‑quality People operations across the employee lifecycle, support employee relations cases, and contribute to engagement, wellbeing and inclusion initiatives.
  • Using people data and insight, help identify trends, risks and opportunities, supporting effective workforce and succession planning.
  • Build strong relationships across the region, working closely with the wider People Team and People Experience Hub to ensure seamless, joined‑up people support.

  • Experience supporting the full employee lifecycle, including performance, development and employee relations.
  • Confidence in coaching and advising managers on people‑related matters.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to use people data and insight to inform decisions and improvements.
  • A collaborative approach and desire to continually develop your people partnering capability.
  • A Full UK Driving License is required.
Desirable Skills
  • CIPD qualified (or working towards it).
