We have an exciting new opportunity for a motivated Assistant Supply Chain Manager within our Construction South business. With offices in Weybridge, Farnborough and Dartford, we deliver projects across multiple sectors within the Southern England and South London Boroughs regions.

As the successful candidate, you will report into our highly experienced Supply Chain Manager and work with our teams across pre-construction, delivery and aftercare to assist in the development and management of our supply chain partners, ensuring they meet our current and future business needs.

If you have strong negotiation and influencing skills, an operational drive and the ability to adapt to change, then this could be the right role for you. You will be commercially astute with the ability to engage and influence at all levels, and you must be passionate to drive value and quality of product.

You will ideally have worked in a similar role within the construction sector, but not necessarily. Alternatively, you may already work in a different role within construction, but have a passion to transfer your skills and knowledge into a supply chain based role.

Essential Skills
  • Minimum BTEC or Level 3 equivalent
  • Proven experience of supply chain management and procurement within commercial construction
  • Strong ability to build relationships and influence multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • A problem solving mindset to review and improve processes
  • Solid verbal communication skills
  • Work well as part of a wider multi-functional team
Desirable
  • Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Management, Construction Management, Commercial Management or a relevant discipline.
  • Working towards membership of a related professional body e.g. CIPS or CIOB.
  • Good working knowledge of the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of Public Contract Regulations 2015 and other relevant legislation and policy in relation to public procurement.
