We deliver exceptional customer service and innovative solutions across healthcare, education, commercial, defence and heritage sectors. We are committed to sustainability and positive community impact.

We are seeking a motivated Cost Planner to join our team, focusing on developing robust and timely cost estimates at early project stages (RIBA stages 1-3). You will apply historical data, engage with stakeholders, and use digital tools to ensure cost certainty, competitiveness, and value for money. You will contribute to continuous improvement in cost planning processes, supporting the wider preconstruction and delivery teams to produce accurate, data-driven cost plans that enhance early-stage cost certainty.

You will likely come from a cost planning, estimating, cost consultant, or cost analyst background. This is a hybrid role with an office base in central London (Old Bailey) – with easy access to multiple stations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates (RIBA Stages 1-3).
  • Utilise historical cost data and benchmarking to inform estimates.
  • Prepare cost plans for external submission.
  • Provide commercial deliverables for competitive 1st stage tenders.
  • Incorporate supply chain cost data and assist with prelim allowances.
  • Proactively participate in high quality data collection from tender information and out-turn project costs.
  • Use digital estimating tools and cost management software.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams (design managers, project managers, etc.) to understand scope and requirements.
  • Present cost information clearly and concisely.
  • Monitor market trends and inform the team of cost-related insights.
  • Collaborate with supply chain partners to inform project costs and improve accuracy.
What We Are Looking For:
  • Proven experience as a Cost Planner or in a similar role within the construction industry, ideally with experience in fit-out and refurbishment projects.
  • Excellent technical expertise in cost planning methodologies and software, including digital estimating tools and cost management software.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to identify complex project issues early and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer value.
