About Us: Breathe

At Breathe, we don’t just restore buildings – we rebuild belief in the physical world. We’re not chasing tech fads. We’re working with our hands, our minds, and our materials to create breathable, beautiful homes that stand the test of time. Lime, clay, and natural fibre are our medium. Mastery, care, and pride are our method.

We are builders of culture, not just buildings. We’re restoring Victorian and mid-century homes using natural, carbon-negative materials and holistic craft. We don’t subcontract – we grow talent in-house. We don’t hide mistakes – we inspect everything with open eyes. We are obsessed with detail, from the tape that protects a window to the line of a finished skim coat. This is a premium job for a premium mindset.

The Role

We’re looking for a multi-skilled builder with strong core building and plastering ability. You don’t need to be a lime or clay expert – what matters more is that you understand suction, surfaces, and site conduct. You know how to get a wall flat, keep a space clean, and work thoughtfully in someone’s home.

You’ll be working primarily on internal restoration projects, often in occupied homes. Our work is slow, careful, and considered – and our clients expect it done right the first time. This is a long-term role, for someone who values pride in work, team culture, and real materials.

What We’re Looking For

  • Must-Have:
  • Strong understanding of suction, flatness, prep and finish
  • Confident with basic plastering tools and general building work
  • Common sense and clean conduct on residential jobs
  • A professional attitude on-site – you respect people’s homes
  • Clean UK driving licence and your own van
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • Nice to Have:
  • Experience with lime, clay or natural materials
  • Familiarity with insulation systems like woodfibre or hemp
  • Fibreglass mesh, taping, and clean detailing experience
  • Worked on Victorian or mid-century homes before

What You Get

  • Starting Salary: £50,000 p/a
  • Growth Path: Earn up to £80,000 as you master our systems
  • Permanent Contract – we’re building a long-term team
  • All Tools & Materials Supplied (you bring the van)
  • High-Trust, High-Performance Culture
  • Real Support – no subcontract chaos, no clock-watching

Standards Matter Here

We’re detail freaks – and proud of it. Plug sockets chipped? Not acceptable. Windows scratched? Someone’s paying. Dust sheets? On. Tidy gear? Always. Walk through with muddy boots? Never. If that makes you nod instead of roll your eyes, keep reading.

Why Join Us Now?

Britain needs more good builders – not more apps. We’re creating a new kind of building company: carbon-smart, talent-led, deeply respected. And we’re looking for the right hands to build it with.

“Touch grass. Then lime it.”

“You can’t live in the metaverse.”

“Let’s build homes. And belief.”
