As a Product Technician in the GB Retail Facility team you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Facilities Product Development Manager with drafting updates to facility products, ensuring that any changes are compatible with the facility wordings.
  • Working with the 360GBR wordings team to draft endorsements/cover requirements that are compatible with the facility products.
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to undertake periodic reviews of facility products to ensure that they continue to offer broad coverage.
  • Undertaking competitor product analysis as part of the facility product review process.
  • Drafting complex GB Retail facility property/business interruption and liability schedules for large UK and multinational clients.
  • Ongoing engagement with stakeholders to ensure that the facility products reflect changes in regulation and market developments.
  • Ongoing engagement with insurers to ensure that the facility documentation continues to reflect their latest statutory disclosures or notices.
  • Supporting the Product Development Manager with the creation and issuance of product literature and communication.
  • Working with the Product Development Manager to deliver product training presentations to internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Acting as the focal point for the client‑facing teams in relation to technical queries on facility products.
  • Looking for opportunities to optimise the growth and retention of business placed on the facility through product development.
  • Supporting the GB Retail Facilities Management team with new facility proposition tender exercises when required.

Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of property/business interruption and liability policies and ability to explain in detail what standard sections of these policies cover.
  • Ability to draft changes to policy wordings accurately using compatible language.
  • Knowledge of Motor Fleet and Group PA travel classes and Global placements – not a prerequisite but desirable.
  • Ability to negotiate with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Works well in a team environment but can also work independently.
  • Minimum five years of commercial insurance experience.
  • DIP C.I.I. qualified or progressing towards.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office products, particularly Word.
