We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Broker - Builders Risk in our SCS (Special Client Services) team which supports one key construction client globally. This role presents the opportunity to navigate intricate business projects, negotiate challenging deals, and address key industry challenges. Moreover, you will play a pivotal role as a mentor to colleagues, enhancing performance through coaching and training.

Role

  • Understand our client’s business and risk transfer needs especially for builders risk & DSU insurance and offer solutions to fulfil those needs through the provision of ongoing service.
  • Understand, apply and where necessary explain the SCS policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain active relationships with our client and (Re)Insurers.
  • Provide technical, industry and subject matter expertise where required.
  • Draw on expertise within the team and across the Group as required.
  • Liaise with client and build strong relationships.
  • Determine appropriate solutions, structure, price and placement strategies that meet the clients’ needs and wishes and deliver profitable business for a range of clients.
  • Undertake full servicing of the client from pre to post placement.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience of International CAR Broking/Underwriting for large construction projects essential.
  • Knowledge of Property (Re)insurance.
  • Proven track record of delivering high levels of client service.
  • Skilled at building effective relationships, at all levels, with clients, prospects, associates, insurers and external specialists.
  • Ability to represent the practice and WTW with integrity and credibility.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of WTW’s products and services.
  • Experience of working with and adhering to processes and systems to support client service delivery.
  • Experienced knowledge of insurance markets globally in order to deal effectively with client and WTW needs.
  • Preferably ACII qualified or working towards the ACII qualification.
  • Language skills are a plus, but not a requirement.
