Reporting into Tech Data Leadership, this role leads on the design and implementation of robust, scalable data solutions for Corporate Risk and Broking (CRB), ensuring technical excellence, CRB data pipelines, data quality and alignment with enterprise/R&B architecture, while delivering dashboards and actionable results to enhance risk and broking (R&B) operations. You will set business rules for data integration and quality, using Corporate Azure/Fabric tools to support innovative solutions. Collaborating with product owners and analysts, this role will ensure data flows and outputs drive CRB decision making. The role combines pipeline development and quality with dashboard delivery and results.
The Role
- Pipeline Development & Quality β Building Robust Data Infrastructure
- Build and maintain CRB specific data pipelines using Corporate Azure/Fabric tools
- Set business rules for data integration, customization, and quality/fidelity
- Support data ingestion and validation (e.g., client portfolios, market feeds)
- Manage domain MDM to ensure consistent data for CRB applications
- Collaborate with IT to align pipelines with corporate infrastructure
- Ensure high data quality (e.g., accuracy, completeness) for CRB use cases
- Leadership in relation to technical decision making and enabling a mentoring/coaching environment for junior engineering talent
- Dashboard & Results Delivery β Enabling Actionable Insights
- Develop and deliver dashboards and actionable results (e.g., risk and revenue visualizations) using Corporate tools (e.g., Tableau)
- Work with analysts and product owners to ensure outputs meet CRB needs
- Optimize data presentation for brokers and advisors, enhancing decision support
- Monitor dashboard performance, incorporating user feedback for improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, or related field
- Experience in data engineering, pipeline development, or ETL processes
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, SQL) and data integration tools
- Expertise with Microsoft Azure/Fabric for data storage and processing
- Knowledge of corporate risk and broking (R&B) data needs
- Experience delivering dashboards or visualizations (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Skills in setting business rules for data quality and integration
- Familiarity with APIs and data architecture in cloud environments
- Ability to work in agile settings, collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving skills for data pipeline and quality issues
- Proven delivery on data-driven projects
- Ability to translate technical outputs into business-relevant results
