Overview

In this role you support daily client service by handling routine requests and coordinating with clients, insurers and third parties. You’ll build understanding of clients’ insurance needs and assist with documentation for renewals and placements. You’ll prepare market materials, review quotations, and help present terms under guidance. You’ll develop construction insurance knowledge through on-the-job learning and training, working closely with colleagues to resolve issues and meet governance standards. This is a collaborative, client-focused entry into insurance broking with clear development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to routine client requests and coordinate with clients, insurers and third parties
  • Work with senior colleagues to understand clients’ businesses and risk management needs
  • Maintain accurate client and policy information in internal systems
  • Assist with preparing renewal/place documentation for London and overseas markets
  • Prepare market presentations, underwriting submissions, reports and summaries
  • Review quotations and policy documents for accuracy and escalate technical queries
  • Assist in presenting terms and cover options under guidance
  • Develop knowledge of construction insurance products and market practices
  • Attend client and market meetings, prepare materials and record actions
  • Collaborate with clients, insurers and colleagues to progress actions and resolve routine issues
  • Follow WTW procedures, governance requirements and service standards

Key requirements

  • Basic understanding of insurance gained through study or experience
  • Strong interest in developing a career in insurance broking and willingness to learn
  • Clear written and verbal communication; ability to build positive relationships
  • Client-focused, professional and responsive approach
  • Good organisation and attention to detail; ability to manage priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to follow processes and know when to seek guidance
  • Collaborative mindset and team contribution
  • Competence in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems
  • Interest in data and producing clear, accurate documentation
  • Degree-level education, apprenticeship or equivalent experience are welcome but not essential
  • Progress towards an insurance qualification or willingness to study towards one is advantageous
