We are seeking a strategic, client-focused insurance professional to lead complex broking activities across global markets. The role involves assessing client business needs, structuring and pricing bespoke insurance solutions, managing insurer relationships, and driving effective placement strategies. The successful candidate will ensure full compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements while making expert use of broking systems. This role also carries people management responsibility, with a strong focus on team performance, capability development, and fostering a high-performance culture.
The Role:
- Understand clients’ and prospects’ businesses, risks, and strategic objectives to deliver tailored insurance solutions.
- Lead placement strategies, including market selection, programme design, pricing, and negotiation with insurers across London and international markets.
- Work closely with Account Executives and Sales teams to structure, price, and deliver client solutions.
- Maintain strong relationships with underwriters and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with Willis Towers Watson guidelines, broking governance, and FCA requirements.
- Act as an expert user of all relevant broking systems and platforms.
- Lead, coach, and develop team members to drive performance and build capability.
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
- Proactively address performance issues while maintaining high levels of integrity, motivation, and morale.
Qualifications - What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in insurance broking or underwriting with strong market knowledge.
- Strong technical and analytical capability, including conceptual programme design and pricing.
- High standards of integrity, professionalism, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and confidently to clients and internal teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to bridge broking and client servicing teams.
- Strong IT skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Preferably ACII qualified or working towards ACII.
