Overview
As a Forward Deployed Engineer in WTW’s HR Technology, you shape HR tech solutions by translating people problems into AI, automation, or platform-based outcomes. You work across global HR, technology, and engineering teams from discovery to production-ready delivery in a technology-agnostic way. This high-visibility role lets you influence how HR tech is built and deployed, partnering with HR leaders, GPOs, and corporate teams. You’ll prototype, validate, and scale impactful solutions that improve employee and HR experiences.

Responsibilities
- Partner with HR leaders and stakeholders to understand problems and user needs
- Evaluate approaches (AI, automation, existing platforms, process redesign) rather than defaulting to a single tool
- Design and build rapid prototypes to test critical assumptions
- Validate solutions against success metrics and stakeholder feedback
- Guide prototypes through to production-ready delivery in collaboration with engineering and platform teams
- Develop tools, methods, and reusable assets in a specialist area and coach others
- Act as solution and business authority for initiatives, potentially deputizing for leadership when required
Key requirements
- Experience in HR technology, digital transformation, or process transformation
- Strong understanding of HR processes and their impact on business outcomes
- Proven ability to lead discovery and stakeholder engagement in ambiguous environments
- Experience designing or building digital solutions (automation, AI-enabled tools, or tech-enabled processes)
- Competent with Copilot, Cowork, Claude, Lyzr or similar tools
- Competent with Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, O365 apps
- Hands-on with new technology and ability to translate between business and technical audiences
- Ability to build software or drive prototypes to production, directly or via guiding others through technical steps
