As a Director, you will lead innovative HR and employee transformation programmes across reward, benefits, wellbeing, culture and organisational change. Working with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams, you will help clients respond to evolving workforce expectations, the future of work and the growing impact of AI on employee experience.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strategic thinking with creativity and thrives on solving complex people challenges. Using strong storytelling, communication and analytical skills, you will turn complex ideas into engaging employee experiences that drive action and business impact. You will also lead project teams, build trusted client relationships, support business growth and help evolve our employee experience offering in a fast-changing market.
The Role
- Manage the design, development and delivery of Employee Experience (EX) strategies for a broad range of HR programs, which drive desired changes in employee behaviour.
- Translate complex concepts into compelling and engaging communications across various media, including print and digital, with an eye towards cutting‑edge solutions and data integration.
- Bring fresh thinking to client challenges, helping shape modern communication approaches and employee experiences that reflect the changing needs of today’s workforce.
- Demonstrate effective relationship management skills to build ongoing relationships with key clients to become a trusted advisor and deliver Communication & Engagement solutions.
- Lead internal project teams, managing projects and client expectations, and raising appropriate issues to Directors.
- Partner with analyst and associate‑level team members to review work, provide guidance and insight.
- Contribute to the learning and development of team members through “on the job” feedback.
- Contribute to new business development by drafting statements of work, project plans and budgets involving multiple workflow streams and client teams.
- Develop insights and strategies related to Employee Experience (EX) and/or managing a change in an organisation (including assessment of risks and impacts) – and communicate these clearly and succinctly to identified stakeholders.
- Apply a deep understanding of the factors that drive engagement, behaviour change and business performance to ensure solutions translate insight into measurable impact.
- Contribute to the development of intellectual capital, including new tools, solutions and approaches around Employee Experience (EX).
- Act as a change agent within the practice, helping to develop new thinking, capabilities and approaches that keep our offer relevant, distinctive and future‑focused.
- Deliver profitable revenue to the business through individual sales and billable hours goals.
Qualifications
- Significant communication or marketing experience (internal and/or external).
- Pension and member engagement experience is desirable at this level; experience communicating complex technical subject matter is essential.
- Agency or consulting experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of current communication and change management trends, marketing and technology (digital and social media), and proven ability to apply that knowledge to client‑focused solutions, with the curiosity and commercial instinct to spot emerging opportunities and turn them into practical, high‑impact ideas for clients.
- Strong client relationship management skills.
- Experience managing concurrent, multi‑dimensional projects and people on time and within budget.
- Strong facilitation, written, digital and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate credibly and effectively with different audiences, while demonstrating creativity and technical expertise.
- Experience working with graphic designers to craft the “look and feel” of a communication.
