Aquarius is a digitally enabled placement solution designed to streamline SME business and deliver efficient, data-driven outcomes for clients and insurers. The Aquarius Facility Placement Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the continued delivery and success of the Willis Aquarius proposition. This role is responsible for coordinating the end-to-end placement journey for SME risks within the Aquarius facility, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a high standard of service to both Network Broker partners and insurer panel members. The successful candidate will support the execution of authorised facility activities, including binding through digital placement platforms, while maintaining strong relationships across all stakeholders. The role sits at the centre of the Aquarius operating model, acting as a key link between brokers, insurers, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Placement Coordination
    • Manage and coordinate risks throughout the Aquarius placement journey from submission to binding and policy issuance.
    • Execute authorised activities in line with facility governance, including binding via approved systems/platforms.
    • Ensure timely progress of risks and adherence to agreed service levels.
  • Technical & Documentation Oversight
    • Undertake technical checks on all documentation (quotes, schedules, policy outputs) to ensure accuracy and alignment with agreed terms.
    • Ensure outputs reflect the information provided by brokers and insurers.
    • Support the issuance process and liaise with relevant checking teams where required.
  • Broker & Insurer Engagement
    • Act as a key point of contact for Willis Network Broker partners and facility insurers.
    • Maintain strong working relationships to support collaboration and service delivery.
    • Facilitate communication between all parties to resolve queries and progress placements efficiently.
  • Performance Monitoring & MI
    • Monitor facility performance, including pipeline activity, quote-to-bind ratios, and general placement metrics.
    • Accurately capture and log key data to support MI reporting.
    • Provide feedback and insights to key stakeholders to support continuous improvement.
  • Operational Support
    • Support the delivery of the Aquarius proposition across the Willis Network.
    • Assist with onboarding new brokers and supporting adoption of the facility.
    • Contribute to process improvements and enhancement of the placement journey.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Events
    • Participate in internal and external meetings as required.
    • Represent the Aquarius facility at occasional Willis Network Broker events, supporting awareness and engagement.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience within the insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial Combined insurance, with a focus on the SME sector.
  • Experience within the UK company/composite insurance market (non-Lloyd’s preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage and coordinate insurance placements or facility business.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately capture, manage, and analyse data/metrics.
  • Confident stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Cert CII / Dip CII (or working towards) – desirable.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative approach.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving, and digitally enabled environment.
