We are seeking an experienced Applied AI Software Engineer to join our growing AI product team in the UK, based in Glasgow or London. In this role, you will enhance existing products and capabilities while expanding AI-enabled applications and services. You’ll work with a team focused on data and AI development, applying your software engineering expertise and experience with AI or agent-based solutions. The Role
Hybrid working up to 2 days in office, with the remainder of your time spent working remotely, offering a flexible approach to work-life balance within our collaborative team environment. You will be able to provide mentorship and support to junior members of the team as well as take part in the overall design and direction of the technology solutions that we implement. Applying design and architectural concepts to the solutions that they propose as well as excellent implementation of those designs as working, tested code. You will be a native in agile practices – able to adopt the appropriate techniques and processes to deliver the highest value software solutions in a prioritised manner. You will also be fully cognizant of cloud deployment and execution – with the ability to exploit cloud services and technologies as well as understanding the full life cycle of the product you create from requirement: code, testing, deployment, execution and support. You will become a member of a small but highly experienced team, covering all aspects of software production – from design through to deployment and of course support.

- Essential Experience:
- Demonstrable professional experience in a technical software environment, as a developer with data or application engineering.
- Experience working in a modern ‘Agile’ development environment with good Continuous Delivery processes.
- A solid understanding of numerical and statistical analysis.
- Strong testing ethos and methodology.
- Cloud Deployment and Infrastructure.
- Experience with the application of generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and libraries.
- Understanding of data security and privacy best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Python, Python AI & Data Frameworks.
- TypeScript, Node, React and related modern frameworks.
- Docker, and Kubernetes (Virtualisation).
- Data Observability, and Visualisation.
- SQL and NoSQL databases and processing.
- Generative AI and LLM application development.
- Generative & Agential libraries and frameworks.
- DevOps experience in Azure.
