We are currently seeking a full‑time Junior Broker to help continue build out of our offering within Direct and Facultative. The successful candidate will work within the Environmental Impairment Liability team. We expect the candidate to be involved in business planning and will look for them to work with the existing team to help continue shaping an overall Global Strategy for the group. The Role
- Ability to understand a client or prospect's business, situations, opportunities, problems and key issues.
- Ability to manage relationships and negotiate placement with the (re)insurance market as part of a team.
- Prepare client and prospect presentations considering the impact of client profitability.
- Help arrange and participate in marketing meetings i.e. client roadshows, virtual meetings etc.
- Help prepare and check market presentations and client documentation as appropriate.
- Assist the team with ongoing development, maintenance, and coordination around pipeline prospects—accurately maintaining WTW CRM in order to assist with Business Planning.
- Assist with the loading of data into the relevant WTW Systems.
- Work with Client Relationship Directors, Account Executives, Brokers, Sales, Marketing, in determining appropriate solutions and structuring and pricing of placements.
- Support the team with processing placements, mid‑term adjustments and ad‑hoc admin.
- Identify appropriate markets and assist the team with determining placing strategy.
- Create and grow relationships with underwriters in London and international re(insurance) markets.
- Participate in information gathering exercises and ad‑hoc market analysis.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with WTW guidelines and procedures.
- Understand, apply and where necessary explain WTW policies and procedures.
- Ensure good relationships and communication with other WTW colleagues.
- A thorough understanding and an expert real‑time user for all relevant systems.
What you’ll bring
- Preferably ACII qualified or working towards the ACII qualification.
- A good knowledge of the (Re)Insurance market in order to address client and technical issues.
