Join Our Health and Benefits Team as a Health & Benefits - Risk Consultant in our London office, working in a flexible hybrid model. If you’re passionate about helping organisations build healthier, more resilient workforces, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Risk Consultancy team as a Health & Benefits - Risk Consultant, where you’ll play a key role in supporting clients across all aspects of workforce health management.
In this role, you will provide expert consulting services—advising clients on risk and health-related insurances and helping them implement effective solutions that support employee wellbeing. Your work will directly influence how organisations protect, manage, and enhance the health of their people. You’ll be part of a dynamic team responsible for the full spectrum of group insurance services. This includes market broking, renewals, day-to-day administration, and strategic consulting. You will also support clients with underwriting, funding models, benefits, scheme governance, and absence management.

The Role:
- Work with WTW Consultants and its clients on the provision and selection of risk and related insurances.
- Provide strategic consultative advice to clients around the design, delivery and ongoing management of their benefit programmes, working with other consultants within the team.
- Proactively update own knowledge of changes in legislation through talking to other associates and reading appropriate news briefs/publications. Apply this knowledge to day-to-day work.
- Manage providers for own client base using negotiation and influencing skills as appropriate.
- Service, consult with and retain existing clients with a high level of service and credibility.
- Plan and organise renewals.
- Design and redesign benefits.
- Liase with providers and insurers for information.
- Assist with re-broking exercises, analysis and verification of providers' contract terms.
- Deal with queries from clients.
- Maintain quality control procedures.
- Development of other colleagues’ technical knowledge and experience of the risk market, including market developments and best practice.

The Requirements:
- Comprehensive and up-to-date technical knowledge and practical experience in the areas of Employee Benefits.
- Excellent knowledge of group risk policies and providers (ideally supported by GR1 qualification), with experience of healthcare policies and providers (ideally supported by IF7 qualification) being seen as advantageous, but not essential.
- Good standard of written and oral communication.
- The ability to work with minimum supervision and within cross-disciplinary teams.
- Good collaboration with other consultants in Health & Benefits, as well as the wider WTW business.
- Computer literacy of Microsoft Office software, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Able to learn quickly, use own initiative and organise own workload effectively.
- Able to work quickly, but accurately in a professional environment.
- An understanding and appreciation of broader employee health issues would be an advantage, as would experience of wellbeing and technology platforms, all of which are key aspects to future progression.
