The Global Head of Privacy Operations will work with colleagues around the world to lead the privacy operations team and continue to implement the privacy program at WTW in line with WTW’s goals for innovation and growth. The role will provide assurance and operations support regarding all aspects of the company’s compliance with data privacy laws. The successful candidate must have excellent stakeholder management skills, understand how to use a practical, pragmatic and risk-based approach while also protecting the Company. This role will report to the Chief Privacy Officer (Global).

The Role
- Demonstrable privacy experience operating in a sophisticated enterprise with global operations
- Understanding of global privacy requirements and standard methodologies
- Managing a global team of privacy analysts responsible for assessing PIAs, DPIAs, managing ROPAs, responding to subject rights requests and managing the privacy front door
- Fluency translating legal/regulatory requirements into practical privacy controls to ensure compliance and support innovative business, technology and security teams
- Experience leading and scaling privacy assurance/operations team and privacy programs, including internal policies, new products, data lifecycle, and employee training
- Passion for technology, especially around innovations in privacy and technology, and experience working with product leaders to guide product roadmaps
- Strong operational and organizational skills
- Ability to work closely and effectively with a global network of country privacy officers/DPOs
- Ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional partners to help the Chief Privacy Officer (Global) establish WTW as a leader in privacy
- Demonstrated success collaborating with internal clients, corporate functions and external parties
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate to all organizational levels
Qualifications
The Requirements
The role requires an experienced privacy/compliance professional with demonstrable presence and interpersonal skills sufficient to function successfully in a highly visible and challenging position. Essential requirements are:
- Certified privacy professional (e.g. CIPM, CIPT)
- Demonstrable experience as a privacy professional preferably with a corporation, in the insurance or consulting industries.
- Detailed knowledge of data protection/privacy requirements, laws and regulations globally, and experience of providing assurance/operations support relating to information technology service providers and vendors.
- The ability to work collaboratively and to engage and influence in a matrix organization.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills which can be applied to both internal and external relationships, with the ability to reconcile compliance requirements with business needs as far as is possible.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Exemplary personal and professional integrity and business ethics; exercises discretion and maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
