As a Professional Indemnity Broker at WTW, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality broking and placement services to our clients, with a particular focus on Professional Indemnity (PI) risks. This position requires market knowledge, technical expertise, and the ability to manage complex client portfolios with confidence and autonomy. You will be instrumental in supporting placement strategy, shaping best practices within the PI broking space, and supporting the continued growth and success of our Professional Lines offering in the London market.
You will work closely with Client Executives, and across our client service teams as well as other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery, uphold Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and continuously enhance client satisfaction.
The Role
- Support the placement and renewal of complex Professional Indemnity insurance programmes for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Serve as the primary broking contact, managing day-to-day client communications and ensuring a smooth client journey throughout the placement lifecycle.
- Design and deliver tailored broking strategies that reflect client needs and current market conditions.
- Negotiate terms and coverage with insurers in the London and international markets to secure optimal outcomes for clients.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Client Management, Technical Support, Client-Facing Support, and Operations teams to drive seamless service delivery.
- Identify opportunities to enhance value for clients through risk solutions, alternative placements, and innovation.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the PI space, providing technical guidance internally and externally.
- Maintain strong working relationships with key insurer partners, leveraging market intelligence and influencing underwriter engagement.
- Participate in strategic initiatives to enhance broking delivery, streamline processes, and shape WTW’s broader PI practice.
Qualifications
- Experience in Professional Indemnity broking, preferably within the London market.
- ACII qualified or interested in progressing with CII qualifications.
- Excellent general insurance knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to interact with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work well in a team environment but also under your own initiative.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload and work to challenging deadlines.
- Good Microsoft Office skills particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Proactive learning attitude — willingness to absorb technical PI knowledge, follow market developments, and gradually take on more responsibilities.
