At WTW, we are looking for a Director to join our Executive Compensation practice within the GB & Ireland team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside market-leading experts, partner with senior stakeholders, and shape executive reward strategies for high-profile clients across industries.

The Role

  • Part of a multinational team within the Executive Compensation & Board Advisory (ECBA) practice.
  • Responsible for developing business and delivering regional and international projects.
  • Support the planning, design, and implementation of executive compensation and incentive programs for new and existing clients.
  • Build and nurture strong business networks across multiple business lines and geographies.
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level colleagues within the team.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients on executive compensation and board-related topics.
  • Partner with Senior Directors and Managing Directors on key strategic clients and projects.
  • Lead client engagements and projects independently where required.
  • Collaborate with highly skilled project managers, senior consultants, and analysts across the team.
  • Work closely with other business areas including Work, Rewards & Career (WRC) and Rewards Data Intelligence (RDI) to deliver broader rewards solutions.
  • Advise Remuneration Committees, Boards of Directors, Executive Committees, and Senior Management teams of leading UK-listed and private organisations.
  • Contribute to talent development through coaching, mentoring, and team leadership.
  • Support the development of department plans and long-term functional strategy.
  • Help build inclusive and high-performing teams.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in executive compensation consulting and/or working on executive reward topics within complex organisations.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting, and regulatory frameworks related to executive compensation design.
  • Experience designing and advising on equity-based compensation, long-term incentive plans (LTIPs), and short-term incentive plans (STIPs).
  • Ability to conduct and review competitive benchmarking analyses to ensure market competitiveness and client-ready deliverables.
  • Strong awareness of market trends, shareholder expectations, regulatory developments, and governance practices impacting executive reward.
  • Experience supporting compensation matters relating to IPOs, M&A transactions, LBOs, divestitures, and high-growth or entrepreneurial businesses is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret complex financial and HR-related data.
  • Experience supporting clients with public disclosures, regulatory filings, and compensation plan documentation.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships across cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for coaching, mentoring, and contributing to a high-performing team culture.
  • A proactive and results-driven approach with a strong commitment to quality and excellence.
  • Interest in driving efficiency improvements, including leveraging AI and innovative technologies within client delivery.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or another highly quantitative discipline.
  • Fluency in English is essential; additional European languages are beneficial.
