This is an excellent opportunity to join our North Region Retail sales team, a dynamic group responsible for new business growth focused on winning mid to large companies domiciled in the North region. The team is aligned with our Industry Practice structure and works collaboratively with those teams to deliver on their growth targets.
You will take on the operational leadership of the North Region Retail sales resources whilst being responsible at a strategic level for a portfolio of prospects and clients with accountability for strategic development of clients and substantive new business development. You will strategically manage client relationships alongside growing client portfolios and will be responsible for targeting and converting prospects. It is anticipated that a minimum of 60% of role time will be spent developing new business.
The Role- Manage the day-to-day operational performance of the North Region sales team
- Liaise with North Region Retail Industry Practices to ensure the efficient allocation of sales resources
- Lead strategic sales on large accounts in North Region Retail Industry sectors
- Strategic client lead for a portfolio of clients when won
- Proactively develop appropriate solutions and proposals for clients to ensure optimum client retention rates and revenue growth
- Experienced knowledge of insurance and insurance markets globally in order to deal effectively with client needs
- Proven track record of delivering strategic sales revenue
- Strong practical knowledge of strategic account development and appropriate tools to achieve this aim
- Experienced at new business sales process and track record of converting prospects to clients
- Skilled at building effective relationships, at all levels, with clients, prospects, associates, insurers, and external specialists
- Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Preferably educated to a degree level or equivalent
- Preferably with professional qualifications of ACII or similar
