This is an exciting opportunity to join as a cloud FinOps Analyst within our Global Technology function. The primary focus for this role is managing and optimising cloud and AI financial operations, ensuring cost efficiency and transparency in cloud expenditures. Additionally, this role aims to further mature WTW’s adoption of the FinOps framework.
The Role
- Proactively monitor, manage and optimise WTW’s cloud & AI spend.
- Act as the team’s FinOps tooling subject matter expert with explicit accountability for the team's core data platform and for driving AI-led process reengineering.
- Analyse data and metrics to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial goals.
- Identify and drive implementation of cloud cost optimisation opportunities.
- Manage anomaly and budget alerting across the cloud estate.
- Partner with Business, WTW Engineering, and Finance teams to ensure alignment on financial goals and initiatives.
- Prepare and present financial reports to leadership and cost optimisation forums highlighting trends, risk and opportunities related to Cloud spend.
- Support the maturity of the Cloud FinOps capability.
- Compliance with financial regulations and internal governance policies.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in cloud cost management and FinOps.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including leadership.
Qualifications
- FinOps Practitioner certification preferred.
- Experience using FinOps Tooling (e.g. Cloudability, Flexera, Cloud Health, etc.)
- Understanding of cloud and AI services, specific experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Experience using tools such as PowerBI to display data in a meaningful and clear manner.
- Ability to translate complex cloud financial data into actionable insights.
- Knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis.
- Strong communications skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to identify cost opportunities and implement optimisation strategies.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented to manage and analyse financial data accurately.
- Ability to stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in cloud cost management and FinOps.
