An exciting opportunity to join our vibrant M&A team as an M&A insurance broker. As an M&A broker, you will be responsible for working with clients and their professional advisers to advise on how to structure and execute transactional risk products.
The Role
- Build and maintain relationships with the M&A community, including financial sponsors, corporates, law firms and other advisors.
- Undertake in-depth analysis on each client transaction to understand all potential risks associated with the deal and advise on possible transactional risk insurance solutions.
- Manage negotiations with insurers, in line with the commercial transaction strategy, to develop enhanced and bespoke policy wordings and coverage positions.
- Understand the clients' business, structure and their insurance needs.
- Support and build strong relationships with underwriters/insurers in London and international markets.
- Identify primary budget holders and decision makers within clients, establish and maintain active relationships with these people.
- Work with M&A team members and producers of M&A business locally and across ROW.
Qualifications
- Educated to a degree, or MBA level (or country equivalent).
- Legal or professional experience, particularly corporate/M&A helpful.
- Experience or interest in advising on mergers and acquisitions and private equity clients helpful.
- Experience or interest in business development, in particular in developing strong relationships and identifying, converting and managing opportunities across lines of business and jurisdictions.
- Project management experience and strong organizational skills.
- Experience of working as part of a team.
- Strong sales, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Good business development skills.
- Strong facilitation skills - inclusive, working as part of a team and collaborative.
