The Senior Risk Analyst, working as part of the 2nd line of defense, is responsible for supporting the European Enterprise Risk Management team in conducting various risk management activities within the agreed ERM Function plan(s). The Senior Risk Analyst will work closely with the business and other corporate functions to support the embedding of risk management practices in the organization. The role reports to the Risk Director.
The Role
- Risk Assessment
- Assist with the maintenance and monitoring of all Risk and Control Assessments for lines of business and corporate functions.
- Support and facilitate risk assessment processes, such as new products, risk acceptance etc., including the maintenance of relevant logs and action tracking.
- Assist with the regulatory capital management assessment processes, including scenario analysis, analysis of resources, wind-down planning and drafting associated reporting.
- Support the management of the Emerging Risk process.
- Reporting
- Collate and analyse data to support the production of relevant risk analysis and risk reporting.
- Assist with the production of regular committee risk reporting to set deadlines.
- Monitoring
- Assist with the maintenance and monitoring of the risk issues, including associated action plans.
- Support the Risk team with minutes of meetings and the development and monitoring of associated action logs.
- Training and Awareness
- Partner with segment, geography and corporate function Risk Co-ordinators on all aspects of the ERM Framework, i.e., risk & control assessment process, risk issues, incidents, GRC system, training etc.
- Assist with the development and delivery of risk management training to lines of business and corporate functions.
- Support the implementation of the GRC tool across Europe, including required training.
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent and a relevant professional qualification would be advantageous.
- Experience in a similar position, preferably in the insurance sector, is desirable.
- Good knowledge of risk management processes.
- Team player, excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
- Excellent IT skills, in particular MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint and user experience of GRC systems.
- Highly organised, comfortable working autonomously and to strict deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
