We are looking for an experienced Applied AI Software Engineer to enter our AI product team based in the UK. This role will build upon and enhance the established products and capabilities that we already have, as well as expanding our product features and AI enabled applications and services.
You would be entering a growing team specialising in data and AI development. You will have a strong software engineering background, probably using AI in your day-to-day work, and may already have developed AI applications or agent-based solutions. We will provide the opportunity to expand further into this space and gain even more experience.
Office Location Preference: Glasgow/London
The Role: Hybrid working up to 2 days in office, with the remainder of your time spent working remotely, offering a flexible approach to work-life balance within our collaborative team environment. You will be able to provide mentorship and support to junior members of the team as well as take part in the overall design and direction of the technology solutions that we implement.
You will apply design and architectural concepts to the solutions that you propose, as well as excellent implementation of those designs as working, tested code. You will be a native in agile practices – able to adopt the appropriate techniques and processes to deliver the highest value software solutions in a prioritised manner. You will also be fully cognizant of cloud deployment and execution – with the ability to exploit cloud services and technologies, as well as understanding the full life cycle of the product you create from requirement to code testing, deployment, execution, and support.
You will become a member of a small but highly experienced team, covering all aspects of software production – from design through to deployment and support.

- Essential Experience:
- Demonstrable professional experience in a technical software environment, as a developer with data or application engineering.
- Experience working in a modern ‘Agile’ development environment with good Continuous Delivery processes.
- A solid understanding of numerical and statistical analysis.
- Strong testing ethos and methodology.
- Cloud Deployment and Infrastructure.
- Helpful Experience:
- Experience with the application of generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and libraries.
- Understanding of data security and privacy best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
