The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or above, with at least two years’ experience in an insurance or financial services environment, and will be studying towards or have completed the ACII qualification. A strong grounding in insurance and placement is essential. STEM degree subjects are preferred. Confidence in using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and the ability to communicate clearly are crucial. As part of a small team developing non-standard solutions, the candidate should be inquisitive, adaptable, and able to work independently. Familiarity with WTW systems such as Eclipse, DMS, Dynamics, and CEM protocols is advantageous, as are coding and geospatial mapping skills. Additional language skills are a plus.

The main responsibility of the successful candidate will be to support the Alternative Risk Transfer Solutions (ART) team in client management, business development, solution structuring, broking, and deal closure. Specific responsibilities include:

  1. Client responsibilities
    • Lead the successful renewal of existing programmes, mainly parametric, including client meetings, data collection, analysis, underwriting submissions, market liaison, negotiations, and policy documentation.
    • Assist in responding to inquiries from clients, prospects, and colleagues.
  2. Technical responsibilities
    • Understand ART solutions and apply this knowledge to add value to clients.
    • Use data analysis techniques for evaluation, modeling, and pricing of ART solutions.
    • Design and develop tailored solutions for clients.
    • Develop new business opportunities and respond to RFPs.
    • Negotiate with (re)insurers and ensure proper execution of policies and client after-care.
  3. People responsibilities
    • Build a global network within WTW.
    • Collaborate with the ART global team and industry leaders.
    • Maintain contacts in ART markets and stay updated on new solutions.
  4. Operational responsibilities
    • Ensure placements comply with WTW policies and documentation standards.
    • Accurately record opportunities in WTW systems.
    • Support online presence and update case studies and sales materials.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 3.0+ (US) or 2.1+ (UK) or equivalent.
  • Open to all majors; STEM subjects preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in an insurance environment; ART experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in standard software, especially Excel.
