Alert:24 is WTW's in-house security risk advisory and 24-hour crisis support client service. Alert:24 provides clients with intelligence, consultancy and training to support their physical security risk management planning. The team also provides a 24/7 incident triage and crisis support service to clients. (Please note this is not an IT position).
The successful candidate will be joining the Alert:24 Crisis Support team as a Security Risk Analyst, based in Reading UK. The primary responsibilities for the role are:
- Monitoring current and emerging threats and geo-political developments, which concern our clients.
- Providing timely intelligence and analysis products and services to clients and internal teams.
- Producing a range of complex, high-level intelligence products to help clients understand and mitigate risks to their people, assets, and operations across the globe.
- Supporting WTW Crisis Management insurance clients in navigating security incidents, notifying designated third-party assistance providers and other stakeholders to ensure a timely response to insured security events.
- Maintaining a high level of coordination and collaboration across our global hubs, ensuring 24/7/365 continuity of support for our clients.
- Supporting our team of security consultants who provide a range of client-facing products, trainings, and consultancy services.
The successful candidate will be working as part of a small, specialist global team who provide a 24/7 client service via three teams based in Reading (UK), Sydney (Aus), and Houston (US). As part of this role, you will be required to communicate directly with clients, security and assistance providers as well as internal stakeholders, helping clients during crises and emergencies. You will be involved in the day-to-day monitoring of global security developments, using social media, open source reporting and purpose-made risk platforms, to identify threats to our clients based on their risk profiles and exposures, alerting them as necessary. In order to support clients, you will work closely with colleagues and internal teams to conduct research and write custom reports as well as provide mitigating security advice. You will be supported by an experienced management team in the execution of your responsibilities.
This role involves a hybrid-remote work-style - split between working remotely and from the office - and involves working on a shift pattern that does necessitate working some weekends and bank holidays. However, additional holiday allowance is granted in order to offset working holidays, contributing towards a generous benefits package. Occasional overtime is also available at an additional rate. You must be able to demonstrate that you are comfortable with IT and telephone and communications systems. A background in security risk management and/or intelligence is preferred, although any relevant experience or knowledge is desirable, while experience in crisis management, including relating to medical, natural and cyber risks, is advantageous.
Qualifications
- Background in intelligence, security, or risk management is desirable, but not essential.
- Advanced writing and analytical skills are essential.
- Ability to clearly and comfortably communicate with clients and stakeholders, as well as deliver presentations and webinars.
- Able to work effectively in a small team.
- A keen interest in and knowledge of geopolitics.
- Knowledge and understanding of major global industries, ie. oil & gas, aviation, maritime, etc. preferred.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and handle emergency calls/situations.
- Strong IT skills would be advantageous, particularly relating to GIS, Power BI, and e-learning applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is critical, expertise in PowerPoint and Excel would be especially beneficial.
- Bi-lingual/multi-lingual capabilities would be an asset, but not essential.
