As a Financial Accountant within Willis Re’s Financial Control team, you will support a wide scope of financial accounting activities across a number of regulated legal entities in multiple geographies. Core accounting activities will include involvement in the month end close processes, such as preparing journals and reconciliations in our Workday general ledger system and assisting in the preparation of the monthly financial reports. This will extend to assisting in statutory accounts preparation and supporting audit activities. In addition, this role will have responsibility over certain Treasury and client funds flows, specifically the daily client and reinsurer premium payments, receipting and reconciliations. This role will also ensure appropriate funding balances are in place between corporate accounts across entities and currencies. You will work with partners in WTW Treasury to liaise with banks on banking matters. As a start‑up business, we have the opportunity to ensure we design efficient processes using the latest technologies. As a result, you will be heavily involved in ongoing optimisation and automation activities – including the active project to maximise the automation of the client funds payment and receipting process.
