The Role: You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations within the Specialty Reinsurance team in London. You will provide administrative and technical support to the marine, energy and PVT treaty brokers, assisting with placement processes, documentation, and client servicing. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively to deliver exceptional service to clients and markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist brokers with the preparation and submission of placement documentation for treaty reinsurance programmes.
- Maintain accurate records in internal systems and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Actively engage with clients and underwriters via e‑mail, telephone and face‑to‑face.
- Handle queries from clients and reinsurers promptly and professionally.
- Support brokers during busy renewal periods by managing data, slips, and contracts.
- Monitor and track progress of placements, ensuring timely completion of processes.
- Maintain up‑to‑date working knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to company and regulatory policies and procedures, together with mandatory training requirements.
About You
- Previous marine, energy and PVT treaty reinsurance experience within the London market.
- Excellent technical knowledge and ability to communicate this to various audiences (clients, underwriters, colleagues).
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and London market systems.
- A proactive, team‑oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
