The Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, ensuring they are completed within prescribed timelines and budgets. This includes defining project objectives and scope, coordinating team efforts and third-party vendors, and overseeing quality throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, along with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. This is a 12 month FTC.

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Own day-to-day delivery of assigned workstreams within the front-office programme, ensuring progress against scope, timelines, and milestones.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, RAID logs, resource plans, and progress dashboards.
  • Manage dependencies across business, operations, and technology teams, escalating issues where appropriate.

Stakeholder & Team Management

  • Engage closely with front-office teams, operations, and technology partners to ensure alignment and adoption.
  • Work collaboratively with the Business Analyst to ensure requirements are captured, understood, and translated effectively into deliverables.
  • Facilitate regular steering meetings, project working groups, and vendor sessions, producing clear updates and structured reporting.

Requirements, Design & Solution Oversight

  • Support and guide the development of requirements, process maps, and solution options in partnership with the BA and Programme Lead.
  • Coordinate the review and sign-off of functional designs, configuration specifications, and integration requirements.
  • Ensure solutions align with business objectives, operational efficiency goals, and the programme’s strategic goals.

Governance & Risk Management

  • Maintain strong project/programme governance, ensuring compliance with internal delivery standards and controls.
  • Identify, track, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, proactively driving resolution.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with senior stakeholders, providing insights, forecasts, and recommendations.

Testing, Deployment & Change

  • Lead planning and coordination of UAT cycles, working with brokers and SMEs to ensure proper coverage and defect triage.
  • Oversee cutover planning, go-live readiness, and early life support for new systems and processes.
  • Support change management activities including training, communications, adoption tracking, and post-implementation reviews.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within the insurance or reinsurance sector, ideally within Specialty or the London Market.
  • Strong track record delivering front-office or broker-facing systems, tools, or process improvements.
  • Excellent project planning, governance, and reporting capabilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work confidently with brokers and senior leaders.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting start-ups, new market entrants, or business build-outs.
  • Familiarity with broking platforms, document production tools, CRM systems, or placement technologies.
  • Understanding of London market practices, including regulatory and operational nuances.

Personal Attributes

  • Highly organised, delivery-focused, and proactive.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shaping structure in newly forming environments.
  • Strong relationship builder with a collaborative, open working style.
  • Confident decision-maker with a pragmatic, solutions-driven mindset.
