We are seeking a strategic and technically adept Platform Owner to lead the ecosystem of systems supporting our Finance teams who use Workday as their central platform. This role will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration, performance, and evolution of all systems that contribute to the management and reporting of the company financials using Workday Financials, Prism, Accounting Centre and Adaptive Planning.
You will act as the Platform Owner for Workday and its surrounding platforms, collaborating with Finance, and their respective Process Owners.

Background: The company has recently gone live with Workday Financials and is in the early stages of developing models in Adaptive Planning. Accounting Centre and Prism are yet to be initiated, however there will be a requirement for these systems to be integrated with other platforms in the ecosystem. This role therefore requires a hands-on approach to system set up and configuration and to ensure data accuracy. The role will also require the Platform Owner to work alongside finance to provide continued education for the finance team and ensure process efficiencies are delivered with the Workday platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the feature roadmap of Workday and adjacent platforms and services (e.g. Finance systems and model, integrations to data services).
- Configuration, testing, Config management and maintenance of the Workday Platform.
- Ensure platforms align with the company's strategy and deliver measurable value to employees.
- Oversee the integration of Workday with surrounding systems to ensure data consistency, user experience continuity, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with IT and vendors to maintain a robust, scalable, and secure architecture.
- Collaborate with Finance, and other business units to gather requirements and prioritise Features, bug-fixes and enhancements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for platform-related queries, escalations, and strategic discussions.
- Ensure platforms comply with internal policies, data privacy regulations, and security standards.
- Maintain documentation, change management processes, and audit readiness.
- Monitor platform performance and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Stay current with Workday releases and industry trends to recommend innovations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience configuring and managing Workday as a platform owner or process manager.
- Certifications that demonstrate excellence in management and configuration of Workday.
- Strong understanding of Finance processes and the employee lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of Workday Financials, Prism, Accounting Centre and Adaptive Planning tools.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.
- Familiarity with data governance, integration frameworks, and SaaS platform management.
