Our client, one of Europe's leading specialist providers of tailor-made air, rail, road and freight transportation and logistics services for all classes of hazardous materials, is looking for a Freight Coordinator to be based at offices local to Southampton, Hampshire.

Main Purpose of the Role:

The Freight Coordinator will play a key role in delivering seamless, start-to-finish freight forwarding services across air, sea, and road. Responsible for managing both import and export consignments, the role ensures the efficient movement of hazardous and non-hazardous goods while maintaining exceptional levels of customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide start to finish freight forwarding services for both import and export consignments across Multi Modal transportation (Air, Sea, Road).
  • Provide high levels of customer service with an ability to communicate effectively and efficiently at all levels.
  • Provide freight rates and quotations.
  • Completion of customs clearances.

To be Considered:

  • Strong working knowledge of both import and export operations within a freight forwarding environment, with the ability to manage shipments confidently from end to end.
  • Excellent written communication skills, along with the ability to think on your feet and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
