Our client, a specialist multi-modal freight forwarding company providing a broad range of worldwide transport services by Air, Road and Sea are looking for an ambitious and driven Sales Executive to join their team at offices based in Worcestershire.

  • Base salary of circa £35k DOE – Realistic OTE £50k+
  • Performance-related bonus structure.
  • Full-time hours: Monday- Friday, 9am -5:30pm.

Main Purpose of the Sales Executive:

As an office based Sales Executive, you’ll play a key role in driving revenue growth within the freight forwarding sector by identifying and securing new business opportunities, while also managing and developing existing client relationships. You’ll manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting through to closing deals and growing accounts, working closely with internal teams to deliver outstanding service. Where necessary client visiting will be required but this is principally an office-based role.

Key Responsibilities of the Sales Executive:

  • Generate new business through proactive prospecting, networking, and client engagement.
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
  • Source competitive rates across air, road, and sea freight services.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored quotations.
  • Follow up opportunities to secure new business and trial bookings.
  • Attend client meetings on and off site.
  • Collaborate closely with sales and operations teams to ensure service excellence.
  • Support internal teams with client communications where required.

To be Considered for the Sales Executive:

  • Proven B2B sales / Tele-sales experience.
  • Experience within freight/logistics is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach to winning new business.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and meet deadlines.
  • A positive, team-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
