Our client, an independent UK Charter Airline located at Stansted Airport, are seeking a Technical Controller to support ongoing maintenance operations. Purpose of the Technical Controller:
To provide seamless technical and operational support for the fleet while operating away from Stansted, acting as the central point of coordination for flight crew, Operations, Commercial, and engineering teams. Ensuring the aircrafts remain serviceable, defects are managed promptly, and all stakeholders stay informed to maintain safe, efficient, and uninterrupted day‑to‑day operations.
Key Responsibilities of the Technical Controller:
- Being a single point of contact for operating flight crew, Operations and Commercial regarding day to day operations away from Stansted base.
- Controlling AOG situations with aircraft when away from Stansted base including liaising with local MRO’s and provision of staff in conjunction with the UK Station Manager.
- Informing duty manager of significant engineering events.
- Carrying out a review of all aircraft technical logs and current/new ADDS raised to ensure parts are ordered and defect troubleshooting is carried out.
- In conjunction with the Planner, organising and planning scheduled tasks ensuring work packages are cleared in time for specified periods allowing for extended time periods away from base.
- Raising work requests for all stations.
- Liaising with the UK Station Manager regarding planned work and defect rectification at Stansted.
- Update the fleet daily status report as required ensuring operations are constantly informed of changes.
- Update the Technical Control electronic handover and handover diary.
- Any other duties as reasonably requested by Senior Management.
To be Considered for the Technical Controller:
- Current UK CAA Part 66 B1 and/or B2 Licence, preferably with at least one approval of the following A320 Ceo/Neo or ERJ-190.
- Good communication skills.
- Permitted to reside, work and travel freely within the UK.
- Ability to supply information to enable five year employment / education history.
- Be able to apply for a UK Criminal Records Check (and Overseas if applicable).
- Computer literate in basic Microsoft packages and Maintenance Scheduling.
