Our client, an established logistics business with offices in Langley, Berkshire is seeking an experienced Import & Export Clerk to join their team.

This role supports Air, Ocean and Road freight operations, with an equal mix of shipments across all modes.

The position suits someone confident in end‑to‑end freight forwarding processes, comfortable working in a busy office environment, and experienced with multimodal documentation.

  • Competitive salary between £28,000 – £32,000.

Key Responsibilities of the Import & Export Clerk

  • Manage Air, Ocean and Road import and export shipments (all modes handled equally).
  • Complete full operational processes including documentation, coordination, and shipment tracking.
  • Use Cargo Wise to manage files, bookings, and operational data.
  • Liaise with carriers, agents, and customers to ensure timely and compliant movement of cargo.
  • Prepare and check documentation for international shipments.
  • Support the wider operations team with general freight forwarding duties.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Essential: Experience using Cargo Wise software.
  • Knowledge of import/export documentation across Air, Ocean and Road.
  • Understanding of customs processes is beneficial; CDS entry experience is not essential but can be useful.
