Our client is looking for an Internal Sales Executive to join their team based at their offices in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
The Company: Established for more than 40 years, providing a comprehensive worldwide freight forwarding service to UK manufacturers, exporters and importers who demand a cost-effective service together with a high degree of personal attention. The company’s active client base of approximately 240 ranges from sole traders to multi-national blue chip companies in a wide range of industry sectors who all require an efficient and reliable logistics solution to transport their freight. With a highly skilled, loyal and enthusiastic team working to a quality system, combined with the financial backup of its parent company, the business has developed an excellent reputation in an increasingly competitive marketplace. The senior management are committed to the continued development of each of its seven subsidiaries with a strong emphasis on organic growth through new business development as well as maximising existing accounts.
On Offer:
- Join a progressive, well-respected organisation with a strong industry reputation based in a brand-new, modern 9,000 sq ft office environment
- 0830 – 1730, Monday to Friday working pattern
- £28,000 – £30,000 base salary
- Annual bonus up to £5,000
- Contributory pension scheme
Main Purpose of the Internal Sales Executive:
- To build and develop existing client relationships
- Maximise business potential
- Calculate Air, Road and Sea freight quotations.
To be Considered:
- Confident communicator with B2B internal sales / business development experience.
- A positive and engaging personality.
- Experience of negotiating with clients and/or suppliers.
- Key account management experience with proven success in developing relationships.
- Experience of calculating KPI reports.
- Experience of face-to-face client and supplier meetings.
- Good administrative and attention to detail skills.
- Good numerical skills.
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
