Our client, an emerging high-end fashion house, is seeking an Italian-speaking Raw Material Quality & Compliance Manager to join their London team. In this position, you will play a key role in safeguarding the quality and compliance of all raw materials, ensuring that standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements are rigorously upheld throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities of the Raw Material Quality & Compliance Manager:
- Work following the Production Critical Path and communicate timeline conflicts, quality risks, changes to the Production team, and action items daily. Problem anticipation.
- Analyse raw material used in production to ensure they meet specifications.
- Ensure quality monitoring of test on raw material.
- Manage certifications request to the raw material suppliers.
- Launch and management of the raw material quality and suppliance tests.
- Organisation and classifications of quality and conformity certificates in function and in collaboration with other departments.
- Drafting of composition labels for finish products in compliance with the various global regulations.
- Ensure certification request according to the different export countries.
- Work closely with the PD team to ensure all materials are approved for production prior to Production Handover meeting.
- Review with the factory all new materials/techniques to ensure there is no issue with mass production of those materials.
- Participate in the Production Handover meeting.
- Further develop clear raw materials quality standards and analyse and verify Leather Raw Material in compliance with internal quality Standards.
- Travelling to suppliers, factories and fairs when needed.
- Ensuring compliance with product safety and reach legislation; assessing risk, advising on relevant testing; recording and resolving non-compliance effectively and efficiently.
- Identifying and managing new projects, feeding back to Head of Production.
- Feeding back to Head of Production, and Technologists with recommendations for improvements to procedures and practices.
Compliance & Sustainability:
- Monitor regulations in the UK / EU / USA / APAC and other regions as needed.
- Oversee product and labelling compliance for the global market.
- Ensure regulatory documents are updated.
- Working with sustainability consultants in developing processes to address current and upcoming sustainability regulations.
- Collect relevant audit reports, product specifications, and certifications from suppliers, and check all details are complete, current, and correct.
- Implement processes for responsible sourcing and certified materials, collect and manage sustainable materials certification.
To be Considered for the Raw Material Quality & Compliance Manager:
- Proven experience working in a raw material quality & compliance role within the fashion industry
- Fluent English & Italian speaking skills
- Preferably a degree in textile engineering or similar
