Our client, a UK owned and well-respected third-party logistics provider, offering import and export freight forwarding and logistics solutions, are recruiting for an Internal Sales Executive to be based at offices in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
The Company has been established since 1986 with the specific aim of providing a comprehensive worldwide freight forwarding service to UK manufacturers, exporters and importers who demand a cost-effective service together with a high degree of personal attention. Their active client base of approximately 240 ranges from sole traders to multi-national blue chip companies in a wide range of industry sectors who all require an efficient and reliable logistics solution to transport their freight. With a highly skilled loyal and enthusiastic team working to a quality system, combined with the financial backup of its parent company, the business has developed an excellent reputation in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
The Senior Management of the Group (Turnover of £145 Million) are committed to the continued development of its subsidiaries with a strong emphasis on organic growth through new business development as well as maximising the existing accounts. Furthermore, the organisation has a proven success of completing strategic acquisitions.
On Offer:

- Base Salary on offer up to £30,000 with an OTE of around £45K

- Working hours Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm

Duties & Responsibilities of the Internal Sales Executive:
- To participate in new business development and account management of existing clients
- Working in a team of other sales and internal sales staff the successful candidate will proactively develop new business and build and nurture existing client relationships to maximise the potential
- New business development through telesales & field sales
- Key Account Management
- Generating & Calculating Freight quotations / tender documents
- Drafting and sending appropriate sales correspondence
- Follow up calls
- Managing sales process through to closure
- Developing long-lasting relationships with new clients
- Supporting the sales team in their sales efforts
- Managing the existing and new client quotes
- Ensuring that the quotes are completed promptly and are followed up to maximise conversion
To Be Considered:
- Either Sales / Business Development experience within B2B
- Telesales experience essential
- Proven success of handling and calculating RFQs and tender submissions is preferred
- Experience of negotiating with clients and or suppliers
- Key account management experience with proven success of developing relationships
- Experience of calculating KPI reports
- Experience of face-to-face client and supplier meetings
- Good administrative skills
- Good numerical skills
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
