Willis Aviation Services is seeking an experienced and motivated B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to play a key leadership role within our Base Maintenance operation at Teesside. This position offers the opportunity to combine technical expertise, leadership, and regulatory compliance responsibilities within a dynamic and expanding aviation environment. You will supervise maintenance activities, certify work within your licence privileges, and provide technical guidance to engineering teams while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a Certifying Engineer, exercising full privileges under your UK CAA Part 66 B2 Licence and company authorisation.
  • Lead and supervise aircraft maintenance activities, ensuring work is allocated effectively and completed safely and efficiently.
  • Certify maintenance tasks and ensure all work is completed in accordance with approved maintenance data and procedures.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support to engineers and technicians.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable UK CAA, EASA, company, and customer requirements.
  • Promote and maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and workmanship.
  • Support the implementation of the company Quality Policy, Human Factors programme, and Just Culture principles.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams during audits, inspections, and investigations.
  • Review work packages for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure occurrence reporting requirements are met and actively encourage hazard identification and reporting.
  • Maintain facilities, tooling, and equipment in accordance with operational and safety requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the maintenance organisation.
  • Review completed maintenance documentation, identifying and correcting errors or omissions to ensure accurate maintenance records.
