Ready to keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently? We’re looking for a Stores Assistant to join our aviation maintenance team and help keep everything stocked, organised, and operating at its best. In this role, you’ll support the day-to-day running of Hangar Stores, ensuring the accurate and compliant receipt, inspection and storage of aircraft components, materials, and tooling. You’ll play a key part in maintaining a safe, tidy, and efficient stores environment, helping our engineers access what they need, when they need it.
What you’ll be doing:
- Goods-In & Stock Control
- Inspect incoming goods to ensure correct condition, documentation, and compliance
- Monitor stock levels and shelf life, escalating where needed
- Ensure materials are stored correctly in line with OEM, UK CAA and EASA requirements
- Use the maintenance system for accurate tracking and record keeping
- Support the Lead Store Person to review and improve processes
- Assist Tooling Specialists with tooling checks and inventory management
- Prepare aircraft parts for upcoming maintenance inputs
- Keep the stores area clean, safe, and well organised
- Follow Dangerous Goods Awareness practices
- Adhere to material handling and storage procedures
- Maintain high health & safety standards
- Contribute to a positive safety culture by reporting hazards and supporting continuous improvement
- Support day-to-day running of Hangar 2 stores
- Carry out additional tasks as required by the Stores & Tooling Supervisor
What we’re looking for:
- Great attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Clear and confident communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues and external partners
Desirable experience:
- Previous stores or warehouse experience
- Knowledge of HF, EWIS and FTS
- Understanding of Part-145 and Part-M/CAMO requirements
- Aviation experience (advantageous but not essential)
