Overview
Join us as a Stores Assistant and play a vital role in our aviation maintenance team. You’ll help keep the Hangar 2 stores facilities stocked, organised, and running smoothly. You’ll ensure accurate receipt, inspection, and storage of aircraft components, materials, and tooling in line with OEM, UK CAA, and EASA regulations.
Responsibilities
Goods-In & Stock Control
- Inspect all incoming goods to verify correct condition, documentation, and compliance requirements
- Monitor stock levels and shelf life for all parts and consumables, escalating as necessary within the Supply Chain
- Maintain correct storage of materials in accordance with OEM, UK CAA, and EASA requirements
- Operate the maintenance system effectively for tracking and record keeping
Stores Operations & Tooling
- Support the Lead Store Person in reviewing and improving stores procedures
- Assist Tooling Specialists with periodic tooling checks, inventory management, and record maintenance
- Prioritise and prepare aircraft parts for upcoming maintenance inputs
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe stores environment
Compliance & Safety
- Apply Dangerous Goods Awareness practices at all times
- Adhere to company material handling procedures and storage location controls
- Ensure workplace health and safety standards are met and maintained
- Support a positive safety learning culture by reporting hazards and promoting continuous improvement
General Duties
- Assist in the day-to-day running of Hangar 2 stores
- Perform any additional tasks as directed by the Stores & Tooling Supervisor
Qualifications / Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Previous stores or warehouse experience
- Knowledge of HF (Human Factors), EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems), and FTS (Fuel Tank Safety)
- Knowledge and understanding of applicable Part-145 and Part-M/CAMO requirements
- Experience in an aviation environment would be advantageous
