Housekeeper

15 Hours per Week | Monday–Friday | 5:00pm–8:00pm | Permanent

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Housekeeper to join a friendly nursery team, playing a vital role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene that children, families, and staff rely on every day. Working after the children have left for the day, you'll help ensure the nursery is clean, organised, and ready to welcome everyone back each morning.

Your work will directly contribute to creating a safe, healthy, and inviting environment where children can learn, play, and thrive.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous commercial cleaning experience is essential.
  • Experience working within a day nursery, school, care home, hospital, or healthcare environment is desirable.
  • Excellent understanding of cleaning procedures, hygiene, and infection control.
  • High attention to detail and pride in maintaining exceptional standards.
  • Reliable, organised, and able to work independently.
  • A positive, hardworking attitude with a strong sense of responsibility.

What You'll Receive

Your Role

  • Maintain exceptionally high standards of cleanliness throughout the nursery.
  • Clean and sanitise playrooms, toilets, kitchens, communal areas, and staff facilities.
  • Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed in line with health and safety and infection control procedures.
  • Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies where required.
  • Dispose of waste safely and responsibly.
  • Report any maintenance or health and safety concerns to the management team.
  • Support the nursery in providing a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff.
