An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Children's Deputy Home Manager to join a brand-new residential care home supporting children and young people with Learning Disabilities and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new service from the very beginning, helping to shape the culture, standards, and day-to-day operations of a small, child-focused home. Combining both hands-on support and administrative responsibilities, the role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference while playing a key role in the home's development and success.
Working closely with the Registered Manager, you'll help create a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where children can build confidence, develop life skills, and achieve positive outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Children's Residential Care – essential
- Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification – desirable
- At least 2 years' experience as a Deputy Manager within a children's residential setting – essential
- Experience supporting children with Learning Disabilities and/or Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, children's legislation, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to balance hands-on support with administrative and operational responsibilities
- A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home
- Providing leadership, guidance, and support to the staff team
- Ensuring high standards of care are delivered in line with children's individual needs and care plans
- Supporting compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding requirements, and company policies
- Completing a mixture of operational, administrative, and hands-on duties
- Contributing to staff supervision, development, and performance management
- Building positive relationships with children, families, social workers, and external professionals
- Promoting a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where children can thrive
