Job Description

Nursery Practitioner (Level 3)

£30,000 per year | Level 3 | Permanent | Good Ofsted

Set within a beautifully converted house, this Good Ofsted-rated nursery combines the character and warmth of a home-from-home setting with carefully designed spaces for early years learning. Cosy, age-specific rooms give children environments suited to each stage of their development, while a mixture of indoor and outdoor play areas provides plenty of opportunities to explore, create and learn through play.

As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you'll become part of a friendly team focused on creating meaningful experiences for children while providing the consistency and nurturing relationships that help them feel safe, confident and ready to learn.

What We're Looking For

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
  • Good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection requirements.
  • Confidence planning engaging activities around children's interests and individual needs.
  • A warm, patient and enthusiastic approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

What You'll Receive

  • £30,000 per year
  • Competitive annual leave package
  • Pension scheme
  • On-site parking
  • Heavily discounted childcare
  • Paid enhanced DBS check
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Opportunity to work within a Good Ofsted-rated nursery

Your Role

  • Provide high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Plan engaging activities that encourage children's curiosity, creativity and independence.
  • Support children's individual routines, learning and developmental needs.
  • Make full use of the nursery's indoor and outdoor environments to create varied learning experiences.
  • Act as a Key Person, building secure and positive relationships with children and their families.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, using their interests and development to plan appropriate next steps.
  • Encourage children to develop confidence and independence through play and everyday experiences.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a welcoming and positive nursery environment.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety at all times.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
