Our client is looking for an experienced and driven Supported Accommodation Service Manager to lead the setup and ongoing development of a high-quality supported accommodation service. This is a key leadership opportunity for a motivated professional who can ensure the service is fully compliant, operationally effective, and delivers outstanding, person-centred support to residents.
The ideal candidate will be a confident and proactive manager, who can take ownership of establishing and growing a supported accommodation provision. The role combines operational leadership, compliance, and business development, with a strong focus on building relationships to drive referrals and occupancy.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous managerial experience within Supported Accommodation, Supported Living, or Residential Care
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of service setup, compliance, and policy implementation
- Experience working with local authorities and referral pathways
- Understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and care regulations
- Proven leadership and service management experience
- Ability to work independently and build services from the ground up
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the setup and development of the supported accommodation service
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational frameworks in line with legislation and best practice
- Ensure the service operates in a safe, compliant, and person-centred manner
- Oversee all aspects of care and support delivery
- Manage safeguarding processes and ensure high standards of resident welfare
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, councils, and commissioning teams to secure referrals and placements
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and management of staff
- Monitor occupancy levels and contribute to service growth
- Maintain accurate records, reporting systems, and documentation
- Work closely with senior leadership to drive performance and continuous improvement
