This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to join a beautiful care home, the newest addition to a growing group of services.

With high-quality surroundings and a strong focus on the resident experience, the home aims to provide dining that combines excellent nutrition with the standards and presentation you'd expect from a premium hospitality environment.

Working alongside the Head Chef, you'll help deliver a fine dining experience while ensuring every resident's individual nutritional needs, preferences, allergies and dietary requirements are carefully catered for.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a

Sous Chef, Senior Chef or experienced Chef within a professional kitchen.

Care or nursing home experience would be highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of specialist diets and individual dietary requirements .
  • Good understanding of nutrition and hydration , particularly for older adults.
  • Excellent knowledge of allergens, intolerances and food safety .
  • Understanding of texture-modified diets would be advantageous.
  • Ability to prepare and present fresh, nutritious food to a high-quality, fine dining standard .
  • Strong food hygiene and kitchen safety knowledge.

Your Role

  • Support the Head Chef with the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
  • Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious and beautifully presented meals for residents.
  • Help create a high-quality dining experience that reflects the home's premium environment.
  • Cater confidently for different diets, allergies, intolerances and individual preferences.
  • Support residents' nutritional and hydration needs through appropriate menu choices.
  • Maintain excellent standards of food preparation, hygiene and presentation.
  • Assist with stock management, food rotation and reducing waste.
  • Work closely with the wider care team to understand residents' individual and changing dietary needs.
  • Support other kitchen colleagues and step up in the Head Chef's absence when required.
  • Ensure food safety legislation and the home's policies are consistently followed.

All appointments are subject to satisfactory references, an enhanced DBS check, verification of the right to work in the UK and any other pre-employment checks required for the role.
