Are you ready to take the lead in a nursery where children are inspired to explore, discover, and develop their independence every single day? We’re looking for an experienced Room Leader to join their Outstanding Ofsted-rated nursery. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team within a setting that has been thoughtfully designed to support exceptional early years education.

The nursery's light-filled, open-plan rooms provide a calm and inspiring environment where children can learn through play, while free-flow access between the indoor and outdoor spaces encourages independence, confidence, and curiosity. Every area has been created to promote exploration, helping children develop the skills they need as they progress through their early years.

What We're Looking For

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience as a Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner, or similar senior role
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Experience supporting and developing practitioners
  • A warm, nurturing, and child-centred approach to childcare

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day running of your designated room
  • Deliver outstanding care and education in line with the EYFS framework
  • Support, mentor, and motivate practitioners within your team
  • Plan and oversee engaging learning experiences that promote children's development
  • Encourage children's independence through the nursery's free-flow learning environment
  • Observe, assess, and monitor children's progress
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery practice
