Staff Nurse – RGN or RMN
£23.20 per hour | 37.5 Hours per Week | Night Shifts
Our client is looking for an experienced RGN or RMN to join their specialist dementia nursing home, providing high-quality clinical care to older adults throughout the night.
This role is suited to a nurse with previous nursing home experience who is confident managing a shift, responding to changing clinical needs and supporting care colleagues.
You’ll be joining an established service with stable staffing and a strong focus on delivering safe, compassionate and individualised dementia care.
Please note: this position does not offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
What You’ll Need
- Active NMC registration as an RGN or RMN
- Recent nursing home experience – essential
- Experience supporting older adults and people living with dementia
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Confidence managing a night shift and delegating to care colleagues
- Experience with medication administration, care planning and risk assessments
- Good understanding of safeguarding, infection control and clinical governance
- A calm and confident approach when responding to changing resident needs

What You’ll Do
- Take responsibility for clinical care delivery throughout the night shift
- Assess and monitor residents, responding appropriately to changes in their health
- Administer and manage medications safely in line with NMC standards
- Develop, review and maintain person-centred care plans
- Support residents living with dementia with dignity, patience and understanding
- Supervise and provide clinical guidance to care colleagues
- Maintain accurate clinical records and regulatory standards
- Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies and clinical concerns
- Liaise with GPs, families and external healthcare professionals when required
