Senior Nurse (RGN) – Contract Role
£22.00 – £23.50 per hour | 42 hours per week | Temporary Contract
With light and airy rooms and a peaceful garden, our client's nursing home is a setting where residents feel at home and the nursing team has the environment they need to deliver care they can be proud of. Supporting older people with a wide range of needs - including dementia, nursing, and short-stay care - this is a warm home with a commitment to person-centred practice.
Due to a temporary requirement, our client is now looking for a clinically strong Senior Nurse to join the team on a contract basis and help maintain the high standards their residents deserve.
What Our Client Is Looking For:
- Current, unrestricted NMC registration - RGN essential
- Proven experience within a nursing home setting - essential
- Background in older adult care, including dementia and nursing care
- Clinically strong with confident assessment and decision-making skills
- Professional, reliable, and able to hit the ground running in a temporary position
- A warm, resident-first approach with the ability to integrate quickly into an established team
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering and overseeing high-quality, person-centred nursing care for older adults across dementia, nursing, and short-stay care
- Acting as a senior clinical presence on shift, supporting and guiding care staff throughout the day
- Conducting and reviewing care assessments and care plans in line with individual resident needs
- Administering medications safely and accurately in accordance with NMC guidelines
- Working collaboratively with GPs, allied health professionals, residents, and families
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date clinical documentation throughout each shift
- Managing shift priorities calmly and confidently, responding to clinical need as it arises
