Job Description
- Pre-Toddlers Room Leader
- £32,200 per year | Level 3
As a Pre-Toddlers Room Leader, you'll play a key role in creating a nurturing environment where children feel secure, encouraged, and excited to discover the world around them.
This Good Ofsted-rated nursery provides the ideal setting to do just that.
With high staff-to-child ratios, small groups, large open-plan rooms, and excellent outdoor facilities, you'll have the time, space, and support to deliver exceptional early years experiences.
The nursery is committed to providing a calm, stimulating environment where children can learn through play while receiving the individual attention they need to flourish.
Working closely with the wider management team, you'll lead your room, support your colleagues, and ensure every child receives the highest standard of care and education.
What We're Looking For
- Full and relevant
- Level 3 Early Years qualification
(or equivalent).
- Previous experience as a
- Room Leader ,
- Deputy Room Leader , or an experienced
Senior Nursery Practitioner .
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and child development.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- A warm, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting young children.
- Passion for creating engaging learning experiences during this important stage of development.

Your Role
- Lead the day-to-day running of the
Pre-Toddlers Room , ensuring exceptional standards of care and education.
- Plan engaging activities that support children's communication, physical development, confidence, and independence.
- Observe, assess, and monitor children's progress in line with the EYFS framework.
- Inspire, mentor, and support practitioners within your room.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
- Make full use of the nursery's spacious indoor and outdoor learning environments.
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are consistently followed.
