This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand new nursery from the very beginning. Our client is opening an inspiring new setting designed from the ground up to provide a genuine home-from-home environment for children aged three months to five years - combining well-equipped indoor learning spaces with outdoor areas that actively encourage exploration, independence, and plenty of fresh air.

They are now looking for an experienced Room Leader to be part of this new chapter from day one - helping to create a nurturing environment, support the team, and ensure the highest standards of care and education.

What Our Client Is Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification or above – essential
  • Proven experience working in an early years setting – essential
  • Previous experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner
  • Experience working with children across the full age range from babies to pre-school
  • A warm, nurturing approach with a genuine passion for home-from-home early years care
  • Enthusiasm for outdoor learning and encouraging independence in young children
  • Positive, proactive, and a strong team player
  • Organised, reliable, and confident communicating with families and colleagues

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading a designated room and ensuring high-quality care and education for all children
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging, play-based learning in line with EYFS
  • Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that reflects a home-from-home ethos
  • Championing outdoor learning and ensuring children benefit from daily outdoor experiences
  • Building strong relationships with children, families, and the wider team
  • Supporting and mentoring team members within the room
  • Monitoring children’s development and maintaining accurate records and observations
  • Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety standards are consistently met
